New Pours and thinking on new designs
I am doing some pours with different tints, and additives. I am varying my wait times between layered pours. 24 hours seems to give a crisp line.
The current set pours is 12 hours between. I am uploading a video which shows me doing so. Basically the aftermath of love cubes getting poured with the hearts one color and the majority of the cube as clear resin.
Since I shot the video last night, I have poured a new layer of tinted glittery resin. we shall see how it turns out. I sincerely hope the answer is good, if not spaklicious.

Resin Research. In Tucson and also somewhere in FLA.
I need to figure out which type would be best for me.
Easy Cast is what I use right now, but the hardener keeps coming in different shades from clear to a dingy yellowish hue.

I have been fiddlin’ with it. And will be adding up some exemplary inventory.
The store is named “irkmade”
I was originally called “irk”, by my brother, who could not pronounce Eric.
It got revived in the early 1990’s when I started needing a nickname when I found myself around 3 to 5 Erics at most work places. :)

I needed more blue.
And here it is. Including the Love Cube….4 times the love in one cube.
It is hard to see but I also did the bellydancer in the blue…I may get one more small pour in this week.
The Blue is Hastings Blue Transluscent Dye Paste, with PearlEx Green Yellow and Aztec Gold Micha Powders.

The Tangerine looking items are the Mandarin dye with aztec gold micha powder…not a very good picture but in the following line up picture you can see it in all it’s glory. That picture though does prove, Mom was right….I need more of the gorgeous Blue I achieved earlier last week. Then of course the latest sculpt of a medallion of the Soviet Space Stewardess, celebrating the bravery and dedication of the women of the Soviet Civil Space Service. “Coffee, Tea, Water or Vodka in Convenient sippable cups….who knew high heeled boots worked so well in Zero G?”

Mandarin and Aztec Gold.
Two drops of the liquid resins dye and small paddles of the metallic micha powder.
The last few days have seen the casting of a dozen big gumball shaped beads for my wife and different strange mettalic greens. Photos tomorrow of the tangeriney new color. Happy Belated T-Day!
